Not Much to Say
Vicki stayed in the kennel for a few days while we skipped out on a long weekend away. She came back smelling like the kennel so I immediately gave her a shower (we have no bath tub here). After her shower, she still smelled like the kennel so I sprinkled her with some talcum powder and that seemed to make things a little better. She still looks adorable as her buzz cut grows back…

Our New Home
The place we've moved to temporarily is much smaller than our old home where Vicki had the run of the house. For a pug Vicki takes up a lot of space but she's had to learn to share a bit. The front door is easily moved when Vicki slams her body against it at any hint of noise outside. She creates quite a stir. She's already made a few new friends though most around these parts are not appreciators of dogs. Lately, we've had huge amounts of rain and Vicki is not too keen on getting her paws wet but she still manages anyway.
Once again she'll be heading for the kennel while we go away for a long weekend. At least the new home is bigger than the kennel!

Our New Home
Vicki is excited to have a new space to explore and new noises to fuss about. We took Vicki to the groomer's, Little Princess, during the move. I have photos of Vicki after the groomer's - they shaved her and she looks like a different dog. All I can looks soooo cute! I'll load them in a couple of days. Our new place has several stairs which I'm proud to say Vicki takes with ease while last year she couldn't manage three.

Vicki Loves Her Walks
These days the weather has been a little less hot and Vicki's walks have been more regular. Yesterday afternoon she let Greg know she had to go and sure enough she did. It makes me wonder who's on the schedule here because it usually feels like we are on Vicki's time.
She gets fed first thing in the morning and at 6 p.m. sharp in the evening. There is little room in Vicki's plan for deviation. After the evening meal there must be pets and scratches completed by an evening walk. After some rest from her busy schedule there's often a playtime of tug-of-war or ball tossing. Anything can become an amusement to Vicki from small plastic objects to tissue to socks.

New Toy and More Joy
Vicki loves this new toy we found for her. If I wrench it from her steely jaws and hide it behind my back she goes ballistic. If Greg throws it down and lets it bounce Vicki loves to chase the ball and chew on it for awhile. We threw away her blue string and she hardly seems to miss it yet she still loves her tiger kong.I just appreciate that she has so much energy and movement in her body to be able to play with her toys and really enjoy it all.
