There's really not that much new to add to the life of Vicki these days. She walks, she eats, she sleeps and she plays. We are very happy to be home and both Vicki and Augustus seem delighted to have us back. We discovered that Vicki has lost three pounds since we rescued her about seven weeks ago. For now she is snoring contentedly in her usual spot on the couch. I'll keep posting as any new developments occur.

Three weeks ago we welcomed Duke, a three year old pug from HKDR, into our home. We love having a another (lively!) soul around. Duke also loves to chew on tissues, and will eat anything and everything! He is a funny little guy, always underfoot, and has many expressions too, just like Vicki.
Laura, what kennel did you send Vicki to while you were away? There are so many in the city, and I want to be sure that Duke will be wel looked after when we are away from time to time.

I boarded Vicki at the SPCA in Wanchai. They have a play area for the dogs, the kennels are quite large and they were very careful with feeding instructions. Overall, we were pleased with the care she received there. They tend to book up quickly especially in the summer and X-mas (we have her on a waiting list right now)
I have a list that was given to me, though not necessarily recommended, by the SPCA. Most of the kennels are in Sai Kung or Yuen Long (not close for us but maybe good for you).
