Vicki in Canada
The moment Vicki was released from the crate used to transport her it was as if nothing changed in her world. She looked around her new home and quickly ate her first meal. Walks have been great. Turns out she loves snow and even the cooler temperatures don't bother her, however, she doesn't like ice under her feet. She has plenty of grass to sniff and even gets to run off-leash in certain designated areas. I think the new city isn't so different from where she came from to her although when she found pine cones on the ground she didn't know whether to eat them or run. Now I think she knows those pine cones are harmless and they don't taste very good.

Hey Laura and Vicky!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear from you and that you're enjoying Canada! Especially glad to know that you get some 'wild' time off the leash, this makes Duke feel so macho that he'll woof at the big dogs. Bad Dukie.
Hey, do you have a 'furminator'? It's a brush that grabs at the undercoat and seriously reduces shedding. We got one for Duke about a month ago, and we can't believe that we ever lived without it. Duke sheds alot, like all little puggies, and the furminator makes it so that I decide that he'll shed outdoors when I can brush him, and not on the couch or rug. I bet it also makes it much cooler for the little guy. They have a website, I got mine new from eBay, it was a bit cheeper. Got the medium sized, short hair one. Anyway, if you don't already, would highly recommend it for Miss Vicky!
Thanks, I do notice much more fur around the place these days. The furminator sounds like a great invention. We'll have to give it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteVicki is loving her walks here in Canada just so much grass for her to sniff. We take her to some off-leash areas as well where she loves to run and play with other dogs and get the attention she never gets with us from the other owners ;c).
